MALAYSIANS TO OFFER FIRST CUP TEST
Our Bulls have been drawn against Malaysia’s Harimau Muda for the first round of the RHB Singapore Cup 2012 tournament, after the draw was held at Bugis Junction on Sunday afternoon.
It will not be Ong Kim Swee’s boys competing in the S.League this season, though, but Ismail Ibrahim’s Under-19s who are playing in the Malaysian second division.

Our Bulls face an interesting challenge from Malaysia’s Young Tigers, known formally as the Harimau Muda B Team, in the first round of the RHB Singapore Cup 2012 tournament on Sunday evening.
Most of the boys in this squad may be no older than 20, but it bears noting that a similar contingent from last year managed to put up a good show against Hougang United before bowing out 0-1 in extra time.

EFFORT SATISFACTORY DESPITE THIRD STRAIGHT DEFEAT
Our Bulls might have fallen to a third consecutive 0-1 loss on Friday evening, but there was little to be ashamed of following the good effort against Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore).
Both teams came out and attacked well in this edition of the Jurong derby, and while Toshikazu Soya’s winner for Albirex had a sense of the fortuitous to it, this was a game that probably deserved goals that looked better.

WASTEFUL PLAY GIVEN LAST-MINUTE PUNISHMENT
Our Bulls were made to pay for some wasteful first-half attacking as a last-minute goal from SAFFC’s Shimpei Sakurada gave his team all three points at Jurong West Stadium on Saturday evening.
Sakurada’s strike was fair reward for the pressure the Warriors piled on us in the final 25 minutes – but it only highlighted how badly the boys were made to rue the missed opportunities, especially in a first half where they easily dominated.
